Twas the MONTH before Christmas TWAS THE MONTH BEFORE - TopicsExpress

Twas the MONTH before Christmas TWAS THE MONTH BEFORE CHRISTMAS T was the month before Christmas and all through our land, not a Christian was praying, nor taking a stand. You see the PC (Politically Correct) police had taken away, the reason for Christmas that no one could say. The children were told by their schools not to sing, about shepherds and wise men and angels and things. It might hurt folks feelings the teachers would say, December 25th is just another holiday. Yet the shoppers were ready with checks, cash and credit, pushing folks down to the floor just to get it. CDs from Lady Ga Ga, an X-Box, an I Pod, something was changing, something quite odd. Retailers promoted Rmadan and Kwanza,in hopes to sell books by Al Franken or Jane Fonda. As Targets were hanging their trees upside down, at Lowes the Christmas was nowhere to be found. At K-Mart and Staples and Pennys and Sears, you wont hear the word Christmas, it wont touch your ears. At the top of the Senate there arose such a clatter, to eliminate Jesus in all public matter. And we spoke not a word as they ejected our Faith, forbidden to speak of salvation and faith. The true gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded, the reason for the season stopped well before it started. So as you celebrate Winter Break under your Dream Tree, Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me. Choose your words carefully, choose what you say, shout MERRY CHRISTMAS, not HAPPY HOLIDAY. So all Christians join together and tell everyone you meet, MERRY CHRISTMAS for Christ is the reason for the season, if you agree you can share, if not just delete. MERRY CHRISTMAS from Phil Blommendahl December 8,2011 No matter if you are of the Christian persuasion or not, the original meaning of Christmas has been distorted and has been replaced by corporate greed, materialism and a public obsession with having to have everything FIRST and BEST especially in our now hi tech world of what are essentially hand held computers. Even if you are not into Jesus in particular thats cool, but I wish your Holiday season or end of the year wrap up period to be mellow, peaceful, love filled, song filled with your favorites and happy. My poem ( which took 3 weeks to finish in 2010) was for the benefit of my Christian FB brothers and sisters to help you see how our world has changed and for you to draw your own conclusions as to how you each can make your Christmas Season more joyful and relevant to you.
