Tweleve years ago today I had started my duty day at the Pentagon - TopicsExpress

Tweleve years ago today I had started my duty day at the Pentagon and needed to go down to the newly renovated section sometime during the day to get some travel order ammendments from our budget section. I thought: wow it wont be so long a trip when we move into the new section in two weeks and be one floor right above them, I will just do it after lunch. Turns out my procrastination that morning quite possibly saved my life. Since the initial point of impact of the plane was right into where our new offices would have been and are now in the Pentagon. I still reflect every year this time about the lovely ladies in our budget section that loved hearing about my trips around the world with Congress and how they would be elated about little trinkets I would bring them. Then I remember finding one of their building badges in the wreckage in the days that followed and feeling pure rage like I never had in my life before. Now I am thankful tweleve years later that the majority of people responsible for that heinious act are either dead or in prison. Some debts are never paid though and I will always remember!
