Twenty two years ago Steven and I said our marriage vows before God. We have kept those vows and God has kept His vow towards us as well. He promised I will never leave you nor forsake you (Joshua 1:5) and He has been so true to His word over the past 22 years. Someone asked me the other day that, if I had known then what our lives would be like, would I still have said yes? The past 22 years have been filled with much laughter, many, many tears, birth, death, joy, immense sadness, lots of compromising, immense personal growth, many arguments and lots of sorrow. It is, however, because of Steves love for me that I am growing into the woman God created me to be, into a wholeness as a person. So my answer to that question is a resounding YES!! Knowing what I know now I would still have married him. Gods grace abounds in our marriage and I am so thankful that I get to spend my life with a man who loves the Lord and who has the most amazing sense of humour!
