A cairn is a man-made pile (or stack) of stones. The word cairn comes from the Scottish Gaelic: càrn (plural càirn). Inuksuit in northern Canada were markers used for wayfinding and to locate caches of food or other stores. A cairn to mark a mountain summit in Graubuenden, Switzerland. Stepping through the SpyGlass I found myself in an alternate world so close to the city, yet while everything seemed miles away. The wind didnt blow through the trees one bit. Walking around the corner, I found carins as far as the eye can see. I tried to make these photos as less distracting (noisy) as possible to get the feel of what it was like out there. However one of the challenges with taking photos of so many rock stacks, is there is alot of broken lines. So if you have a hard time focusing one object my apologies. I really do love this city and the commitment of its people. I just wish there was water running through this creek bed to quench our dry grounds.
