Two Lam Van is disbanding. Frankly, the adventures on the list are mostly unadventurous. The last straw, though, was the Day on the Bay event I described on the 12 October post. Someone in the County Parks is obviously too cozy with Supervisor Dave Cortese who is running for mayor of San Jose. The event looked a lot like a campaign event masquerading as a County Parks event, which wreaks of campaign finance law violations; and Im apparently not the only one who thinks so: sanjoseinside/2014/10/09/cortese-disputes-latest-ethics-complaint-by-liccardo-campaign/ Anyway, life got too busy for Claudia, and supporting something run by the Santa Clara County Parks which would assign points to help them violate election laws runs afoul of my ethics. The Parks for Life Challenge was a great idea which was poorly planned and poorly executed by Santa Clara County Parks. Time for us each to move on to something worth while and more challenging, which would include just about anything.
