Two Years of Free Community College Makes Sense. Every one of Americas citizens deserves this. Personally, I think this is an excellent way to spend some of our tax dollars. The drawback, as I see it, is allowing each state to make the final decision as to whether they will participate. Depending upon each states elected representatives to decide who will eat and get medical assistance (Medicaid) or who will be given the chance to better him/herself (free community college tuition) is risky business....., in my opinion. Too many of our young elected state representatives have never walked in the shoes of the average struggling working man / woman (and probably have never known poverty); thus, lack the experience and/or empathy to offer an opportunity to others for a step-up.
