Two-year-old Bruno has beat SOME of the odds: he has survived the DOH hold! Right now, though, he is sitting on death row, and his only chance at survival is a dedicated foster or adopter. A staff member writes: Bruno is a handsome young man with a coat the color of cocoa and a stream of sweet cream running down his face. Delicious. With his movie star good looks- those eyes see right through you- and his perfectly contoured body, Bruno is a sight to behold. He arrived at the shelter on a DOH hold. His infraction involved a nip on the nose of a child who was overhandling his face. So Bruno understands restraint. In the beginning of his hold he was shy and quiet in his kennel. He is an adventurer who craves the outdoors and confinement is not his thing. Once loose in the backyard and free to explore his surroundings, Bruno can occupy himself for quite some time. He is a runners dream. On leash Bruno can be quite a puller but he does respond to correction, so could easily become a solid exercise partner. In addition, he is friendly and social to all he meets so could be the perfect social partner as well. Bruno is a dog for all seasons. As far as other dogs are concerned, Bruno would need slow and gradual introductions as he can be a bit selective. Its worth mentioning that when kenneled or loose in an outdoor pen, he will sometimes lunge or growl at a passing dog. This reactivity is only evidenced when Bruno is confined and may be stress based. As far as his dealings with people are concerned, Bruno is a stellar example of a companion animal. He would fit well into any loving household, although small children are probably not the best match.
