Two years ago today i stood in front of a church and reached out for help. Confessed my sins and stood in front while being silently prosecuted covered up by the southern Baptist saying we are praying for you. Until one man did what everyone was thinking you are a sorry excuse for a man and a s%#%# excuse for a husband and father Sad thing is, i respected that man more than anyone else in that church. But on that day i lost all faith in organized religion. While i dont hold anything against that church i do ask myself where things would be if someone answered me that day instead of looking in me with your judgemental eyes. Today i finally know where things could be, bc i finally found a church where God wants me to be. i have witnessed what encouraging words can do instead of words of judgment from your past. So next time you see someone in a dark place please realize that your words can send them in a spiral further down or lift them up to a place of restoration. So choose them wisely
