U.S. Embassy Berlin informs U.S. citizens that several protests and a #demonstration march are expected to take place in Berlin on Friday, July 25th, between 1:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Approximately 2,000 demonstrators are expected, although previous demonstrations have had a much larger attendance. The route of the pro-Palestinian demonstration march entitled “Al Quds Day” is expected to pass immediately in front of two pro-Israeli protests entitled “No Al Quds Day” and “Solidarity with #Israel.” According to information currently available, the pro-Palestinian march begins at Adenauer Platz, and will proceed east down Kurfürstendamm, where it will pass the two pro-Israeli demonstrations, before ending at Wittenbergplatz. We recommend that U.S. citizens pay attention to local news sources and avoid areas where demonstrations are taking place.
