UFOs, Subtle Energy Experiments, Proof of Heaven, and Conspiracies... I am re-posting and curating material for myself (Facebook Pages) and for a client. I enjoy doing that immensely. I am exposed to materials and information that most likely, I would otherwise not come in contact with. Years ago I did not have much of an open mind to the elements of the above title. Having grown up in South Boston, a lower / middle-class, very blue-collar, predominately Irish Catholic environment - my standard response to someone speaking with me about these issues was to roll my eyes, nod my head and change the topic. Unfortunately, that response is still quite frequent. However, now that response is not so much about the material, it is more about the messenger, not the message. So many of the individuals delivering information on these outside the box topics have a kind of wild, wide-eyed, slightly glassy and a bit frantic energy about them. But when I moved from Boston proper to very rural, central mass – Ashby Massachusetts – I was fortunate enough to be involved with some extraordinary people and I got to hang out with people like Ram Dass, Stephen and Andrea Levine, Joseph Goldstein, Sharon Salzberg, and those are only well-known folks. I was exposed to Buddhism, Vipassana meditation (a specific form of Buddhist meditation), Siddha Yoga (Swami Muktananda, Gurumayi Chidvilasananda)... The list goes on. I participated in retreats with these people sometimes lasting three or four weeks. I heard them speak and they shared about the miracles in experiences that had happened in their lives, and the lives of others. It was easy to fall in love with these people. They radiated peace, kindness, generosity, acceptance and love. Given my chaotic and often violent past, this was the first time I experienced being genuinely accepted and loved for who I was. Because of who they were (I am talking about their inner qualities, not their notoriety) I was inclined to trust what ever they shared with us. And, if it was too far outside the box I was forced (by my own desire to understand) to keep an open mind. The harsh, angry and punishing God of my Catholic upbringing, was replaced with a compassionate, welcoming and forgiving God. The idea that other people, besides baptized Catholics, had an equal standing with Jesus Christ and the Father became obvious, not just accepted. In 2001, I was employed as Executive Director by the Center for Psychology and Social Change, a Harvard University affiliate. The figurehead of the organization was Dr. John Mack. John was a Pulitzer Prize winning author (A Prince of Our Disorder – the Life of TE Lawrence). John was also the author of Abduction: Human Encounters with Aliens - a New York Times Best Seller. Now - I could go on and on with my experience at the Center and the dozens of extraordinary people I met alongside Dr. John Mack. Many have become my friends and remain so today. When I took the job as the executive director of the Center by default I made a decision to keep a completely open mind about things and issues like alien abductions. (Wow...that was not always easy.!) Once again I was in an environment where the people and the issues were well outside the box. I am not an expert, nor have I become an advocate on encounters of the third kind. But here is what I DO KNOW – the members of the Center for Psychology and Social Change, and the network of people supporting and surrounding Center were and are today some of the most brilliant, talented and compassionate people I have ever met. Because of their experiences, individual and shared, and their trust in one another, I continue to maintain an open mind, again, and again, and again. (It is an on-going process!) Quoting one of the lines from the A Course in Miracles, I do not understand anything that I see, in this room, on the street, etc.; I have given everything in this room, on the street, in the world – all the meaning has for me. If I could see through the eyes of God, or even an angel (for that matter) - would I see the same? (Of course, that is a rhetorical question.) When I run across articles like the one below, I am reminded of that extraordinary position of executive director, and I am reminded of so many of the extraordinary, accepting, generous and deeply loving people that I have had the gift of their acquaintance, and sometimes friendships. I am reminded to keep an open mind – and more importantly – an open heart. Enjoy... **************************************************************************************~ Jimmy Carter Confirms Remote Viewing Program Telepathkudabux_2 Via GQ Magazine and Wayne Madsen Report: One of the other aspects of your life that struck me as a conflict between your experience and your scientific training was that you saw a UFO. I saw an unidentified flying object. I’ve never believed that it came from Mars. I know enough physics to know that you can’t have vehicles that are tangible in nature flying from Mars, looking around, and then flying back. But I saw an object one night when I was preparing to give a speech to a Lions Club. There were about twenty-five of us men standing around. It was almost time for the Lions Club supper to start, which I would eat and then I would give a speech. I was in charge of fifty-six Lions Clubs in southwest Georgia back in the late ’60s. And all of a sudden, one of the men looked up and said, “Look, over in the west!” And there was a bright light in the sky. We all saw it. And then the light, it got closer and closer to us. And then it stopped, I don’t know how far away, but it stopped beyond the pine trees. And all of a sudden it changed color to blue, and then it changed to red, then back to white. And we were trying to figure out what in the world it could be, and then it receded into the distance. I had a tape recorder—because as I met with members of Lions Clubs, I would dictate their names on the tapes so I could remember them—and I dictated my observations. And when I got home, I wrote them down. So that’s an accurate description of what I saw. It was a flying object that was unidentified. But I have never thought that it was from outer space. One of the promises you made in 1976 was that if you were elected, you would look into the reports from Roswell and see if there had been any cover-ups. Did you look into that? Well, in a way. I became more aware of what our intelligence services were doing. There was only one instance that I’ll talk about now. We had a plane go down in the Central African Republic—a twin-engine plane, small plane. And we couldn’t find it. And so we oriented satellites that were going around the earth every ninety minutes to fly over that spot where we thought it might be and take photographs. We couldn’t find it. So the director of the CIA came and told me that he had contacted a woman in California that claimed to have supernatural capabilities. And she went in a trance, and she wrote down latitudes and longitudes, and we sent our satellite over that latitude and longitude, and there was the plane. That must have been surreal for you. You’re the president of the United States, and you’re getting intelligence information from a woman in a trance in California. That’s exactly right. How did your scientific mind process that? With skepticism. Whether it was just a gross coincidence or…I don’t know. But that’s one thing that I couldn’t explain. As far as covering up possible flights from distant satellites or distant heavenly bodies, I don’t believe in that, and there’s no evidence that it was ever covered up. Or extraterrestrial people coming to earth, I don’t think that’s ever happened. Wil S. Hylton GQ Magazine Apr 2006 The Gospel According to Jimmy The CIAs remote viewing was known by various cover names, including Stargate. The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) also maintained a remote viewing program code named Sun Streak. The prototype CIA remote viewing program, run by Stanford Research Institute (SRI), was code named Project Scanate. Other CIA cover names for remote viewing included Centre Lane, Gondola Wish, and Grill Flame. A former high-ranking official of Carters National Security Council and officer in Naval Intelligence confirmed the existence of the CIAs remote viewing program and the use of para-psychics to locate secret Soviet missile bases and ballistic missile submarines. However, he conceded that both the U.S. and Soviet remote viewing programs were plagued with problems, including constant interference from third parties. After Stargates exposure by ABCs Nightline in 1995, it was reportedly defunded. However, according to NSA sources, remote viewing remains an ultra secret project at the signals intelligence agency. According to those familiar with the program, the protocols followed have actually complied with U.S. Signals Intelligence Directive 18 (USSID 18), which implements the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA). U.S. persons have been protected by the use of mandatory two person control (a viewer and a special handler) during remote viewing sessions, carried out in a super secure chamber at NSA Headquarters in Fort Meade, Maryland. With recent disclosures about NSAs violations of FISA by order of the Bush White House, there are concerns that NSAs remote viewing program no longer complies with FISA or USSID 18.
