UFVRD NEWS RELEASE Monday September 9, 2013 Police Seeking Witnesses to Assault File #2013-28394 Chilliwack, BC – On August 27, 2013 at approximately 9:00 p.m., a 55 year old Chilliwack man was assaulted by an unknown male along the river bank at the Gill Road Campground in Chilliwack. The victim was assaulted by a stranger from a nearby campground. When the victim confronted the suspect for driving erratically through the campground, the suspect hit him in the head causing severe injuries. The suspect is described as male, late teens, six feet tall, slim, dark short clean cut hair, goatee, red shirt, and possibly goes by the name of TJ. “Police are seeking any witnesses to the assault or anyone who has information on it to contact the Chilliwack RCMP at 604 792-4611, or, if you wish to remain anonymous Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS),” says Cynthia Kershaw.
