UIL TODAY from sources in Austin and out of the valley confirmed UIL has issued sanctions against a UIL District 29 5A Head baseball coach. .. Eagle Pass Eagle Head baseball coach Reynol Mendoza was suspended for the first half of District 29-5A play OnWednesday. The sanctions were based for his actions in the selection of officials during the 2013 UIL 5A baseball playoffs. Mendoza was also placed on a 3 year probation status in UIL and was reprimanded by UIL. Eagle Pass Independent School District has yet to respond to the actions by UIL today, and at this point have not indicated they will have additional sanctions against Coach Mendoza.
