UKRAINE & CRIMEA -- Just as the people of the Ukraine have the right to political self-determination, so too do the people of Crimea. 69 percent of the people in Crimea consider themselves Russian. Whereas only 24% speak Urkrainian as their first language, 90% of the people in Crimea speak Russian. Russia ruled the Crimean for over 300 years before voluntarily giving Crimea autonomy with Ukraine. (Thats longer than the United States has existed.) The roots are deep and historic. It all began with a decree of Catherine the Great on 2 February 1784. It remained under Russian/Soviet control until Russia voluntarily gave it a great deal of autonomy in 1954. Be skeptical of the propaganda coming out of our State Department. Many devious and perfidious lies originate there and in the Pentagon. And the WHITE HOUSE, too. Obamas sabre rattling speech yesterday was reprehensible.
