UNBELIEVABLE SUPPORT FOR CHUCKIE FOR CHRISTMAS I like to give some much-needed thanks for all the love and support that Chuck, Myself and our Children received this week. Ali & Todd Wilkinson of, RAT PACKs Slo-Pitch Softball Team (one of Chuck’s former teams) dropped off a care package that the team put together. Presents for the kids, money that will go directly to Chuckie’s medical expenses and some extremely thoughtful gift cards. A extra special one is for Ryder. He’s getting tickets to the “Monster Truck Show” that will be coming up in the New Year, he is going to go absolutely crazy. I cant wait too see his face when he figures out what he’s gonna see. Rat Pack you have been so involved with helping us through this tragedy from day one. Thanks for always having our backs. Sue, Megan and Geoff Ballantyne of RAMPAGEs Slo-Pitch Softball Team came to visit us today. Ryder was a gracious host by sharing his blanket on the couch, and letting them watch his TV shows. They brought in a Christmas Hamper full of food and lots of everyday needed essentials. It was very thoughtful. They also donated a considerable sum of money which will go directly to Chuckie’s recovery, and included were many gift cards so our children can have some fun. It was unexpected and wonderful. Handi-dart Cloverdale detachment, the driver’s personally donated food and toys for our children, They came to our home and they presented a cheque that will go to Chuckie’s treatments. Brooklyn greeted them and got to have a baby doll, in advance. She’s been packing it around the house and making it have sleeps under its little blanket, so cute. I’ve seen a couple gifts marked Dad & Mom, that was unexpected and appreciated too. I am very grateful for the donations on our donation page https://youcaring/medical-fundraiser/support-for-richard-chuckie-smith-and-family/269898, all this money will go directly to Chuckie’s Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) treatments. Some wonderful people donated there, including a family that are mourning the loss of their own family member, Miles Danczak a year ago to cancer, and they have donated to Chuck in the spirit and memory of him. Thank you Mark Guthrie and Shelby Prodeahl, “our new thoughtful-neighbors” for continuing to maintain and repair Chuckie’s wheelchair van. Thank you Geoff Ballantyne and Brad Randle for purchasing new wheel bearings for it. The van has been wonderful in cutting down wait times and so much for comfortable for Chuckie. It’s a small step towards independence for us. We appreciate your knowledge and experience in mechanics. We are fortunate and so blessed to have all these donors in our corner. We are forever grateful.
