UNDERSTANDING SCIENTIFIC HINDU HERITAGE MANTRAs SCIENTIFIC RATIONALE BEHIND MANTRA AND OM. PART 1 SCIENCE - The string Theory of Universe. Fundamental creative material of universe is multiple vibration. In the vacuum of Universe, first existed vibrations which are building material of matter. Force and frequency of vibrations produces energy. This energy is translated into building of all particles such as electron, neutron, quarks just as strings of guitar produces variety of Music. Not only vibrations are source of all particle but also source of communication between them. Thus vibrations keep the entire universe in constant and perpetual state of activity. Since vibrations are present every where these are fastest source of communication. Vibrations remain in immortal state - undying, unchanged. So also communication carried by vibrations remains immortal. Thus ultimate knowledge of creation also remains unchanged. Soul is only higher state of vibration. OUR LIFE - Our own life too is sustained by vibration. Our inner life is sustained by multiple vibration producing variety of inner material like blood and activities like function of heart . Outer life too is sustained by vibrations establishing our communication and relationship with outer world. Our mind and heart are constantly producing, transmitting and receiving vibrations that we call knowledge. MANTRAS - Mantras are designed to produce specific vibrations for specific twin purposes 1. To penetrate deepest submerged, hibernated state of mind and to awaken it. 2. To establish link with ultimate knowledge pervading in vibrations all round further to furtherest far away. The purpose and impact of a mantra transcend far beyond mere words. Chanting vibration of a mantra is however carrier of purpose and impact or result of the words and their meaning. Chanting mantra without knowing its meaning and purpose becomes chanting of single word OM which is closest utterable approximation sound symbol of Divine Authority, creating vibration for divine will and divine purpose not for desired human purpose. It is for this reason a mantra chanted without meaning and purpose is not wasted and is not harming. In Vedas, the Big Bang is called Shabda Brahma - original sound vibration out of which all vibration are created. Since OM represent original sound vibration, chanting it readily and instantly reaches its original source without any break or friction or distortion provided it is properly, sincerely and earnestly chanted. Both mind and matter are only diverse state of configuration of Vibrations - a clear link to divine vibration but mind has to be attuned to the divine vibration. OM NAMO NAMAH means all inclusive in divine name OM. Nothing further needed to know, nothing further is desired. MANTRA - PART 2 MAN ( mind ) + TRA ( tool ) means mind is tool which can be used as a base to achieve some objective. It was scientific conviction of Vedic schooler that all information is floating around in form of vibration in atmosphere and is also submerged in brain cells in deep hibernation state. Mantras are specially chosen words to create specified vibration with the objective to : - 1. To kindle and awaken information / knowledge deeply submerged in hibernating brain cell. 2. To make connection with specified vibration, generally divine, Pervading in atmosphere either to attain divinity or to seek His blessing. A Mantra may be of one or few words with or without literary or figurative meaning. Mantra has many uses but we will confine ourselves to its simple application for comprehension of common people. For common people it is important that they must have faith in efficacy of mantra. ONE MASTER MANTA IS OM NAMO NAMAH - OM is symbolic of divine authority. NAMO NAMAH means a name is all inclusive. It means OM is inclusive name.for all power, all knowledge, Chanting of OM NAMO NAMAH create vibrations which kindles knowledge which embedded but submerged in human brain cells . These are fastest traveling vibration has capacity to establish connection with vibrations emanating from divine One. Chanting of this mantra sweeps all mental dust which has covered and concealed the divine knowledge embedded within us and kindles it. It is master mantra because it is tool for creating other mantra such as Sai NAMO NAMAH , Guru NAMO NAMAH . MANTRA PART 3 Having comprehended scientific rationale behind Vedic conception of mantra, we come to specific mantas which have profound contribution to linking ourselves to Vedic heritage, awakening spirituality within ourselves and enriching our worldly life. 1. All these mantas, apart from seeking prayed blessings, are specifically constructed to create specific vibrations that would awaken traces of submerged and embedded knowledge in our mind. It also connected us to the ever living vibrations of our heritage floating in the atmosphere. These are spirituality imbibing mantras. By Satish Bharadwaj, Meerut.
