@UN_women Acting Head Lakshmi Puri and our Goodwill Ambassador Nicole Kidman have received awards from the Cinema for Peace Foundation at an evening event in Berlin, Germany! Nicole Kidman: “I am incredibly honoured to receive the Award that I accept on behalf of the women of the world. As UN Women Goodwill Ambassador, I have seen that there is no limit to what women can achieve. What’s moved me so much about the women I’ve met is not that they have been victims, but that they are survivors. What’s so impressive is how they went on to speak out and help others, despite the trauma and obstacles they had to overcome. To me, these women embody resilience, strength, dignity – and hope.
