UPDATE:: Friends I wish I was coming to you with better news. Kristen woke up yesterday (Monday) ready to go. She was apprehensive about the surgery on her legs and excited to get to the next phase of healing. The dr came into look at her legs and they have continued to improve...and then the bombshell came. As they were talking over everything as some point the dr said Im fine to do the surgery as long as you are ok with the risk. You could have a stroke and even possibly die. Kristen immediately burst into tears and just looked at everyone for answers. Should she do the surgery or not? She said Everyone told me how sick I was and how far Ive come. I find it hard to believe that God would spare my life just to take it now. The reason for the delay is still concerning the issue with her heart. We have asked for answers and cannot really get a straight one from anyone about whether to go ahead with surgery or not. No one wants to make that call. The anesthesiologist is supposed to come and review her case and make the call about whether he feels comfortable putting her under or not. If he doesnt then they said we have to do whatever the heart dr says before she could be cleared to have surgery on her legs. She cant have local anesthesia because her wounds are too deep and it wont be effective. She cant get out of the hospital until she has her legs taken care of. I literally have no words. It feels like Kristen is on a ride that just wont stop. We are trying to see what God is doing in all this. Is he using this as a way to hold off on the surgery? Is he using this as a way for us to trust him and he will carry her through the surgery? I dont know what to ask for specifically but just pray please.
