UPDATE KLPF : 11th - 13th October 2013, Midvalley Megamall, KL ANALOG COMMUNITY. Further to out meeting on the 11th September 2013 at the Paparich Taman Shamelin Perkasa, KL. Here are the following update and short recap of the terms, plan and intentions. Our booth will comprise the followings: 1. Static photo prints display. 2. Photography equipment exhibit. 3. Live Demo of use and operating of photo equipment. 1. STATIC PRINT DISPLAY A selection of prints and photo will be based on submission at the Facebook Group - TEMPORARY GROUP FOR ANY EXHIBITION - https://facebook/groups/426742587375279/ A. Interested individuals or group should then submit their work for selection here (due to the shortage of space, only selected work will be eligible for exhibit). A limit of 5(Five) of the best photos will be imposed for each individuals/groups. The themes of the submissions are: 1.Urban Fragments 2.Landscape 3.Portraits - Street portraits, Environmental Portraits, Studio portraits, Group Portraits etc. 4.Conceptual. Each submission should state the followings (Please adhere to this format) Title : (Title for the photo) Equipment : (Equipment used.... eg. what camera? etc.) Medium : (What film, format of film.... ie 35mm, 120mm, 220mm, 4x5 plate film, 8x10 plate film etc.) Name of Author : (Photographer) Contact : ( email, Facebook link, whatsapp, mobile, etc ) The display will be rotated on the 3 days of the KLPF dates, this is due to the limited space available. PLEASE TAKE NOTE THAT THE DISPLAY WILL EVENTUALLY BE WET PRINTS - ie, darkroom printing. And all the printing, mounting and tagging cost will be shared equally. We are at the moment looking at 8"x10" prints, 8"x8"(for square format). This is due to the enlarger easel limitations. A large 20"x24" print are also in consideration, and reserved for the "Best" photos. All printing will be done by the organising committee/group members. Therefore it is limited to BW and each selected participant will have to furnish the BW negatives (hand over to the committee for darkroom printing - the negatives will be returned upon completion of the printing). The volunteer for the lighting display equipment have been identified and the safekeeping and security of the booth will be based on volunteer services. 2. PHOTOGRAPHY EQUIPMENTS EXHIBIT. We will be relying on the members of groups and individual to display their analogue photographic equipment during the 3 days event. Each contributor shall be responsible for their own gear security. We shall be furnishing the details later. 3. LIVE DEMO AND DISPLAY. Live demo and display of techniques and use for the analogue equipment are being planned at the moment. We shall be furnishing the details later. Please take note : The image selection dateline is FRIDAY the 20th September 2013. We will strictly adhere to this closing date (Alll negatives will have to be made available by then). This is due to the time taken to prepare for the "wet process printing and developing, photo mounting and tagging etc.) Should you have any other questions, please post in the comment box below.
