UPDATE ON MAIA - THE ECO-VILLAGE COMMUNITY IN THE PHILIPPINES THAT IM PART OF FROM AFAR - AND THAT MANY OF YOU FRIENDS HAVE SUPPORTED FOLLOWING THE TYPHOON HAIYAN REHABILITATION/ REBUILDING EFFORTS. SHARING THIS FOR YOUR INTEREST AND CONTINUED SUPPORT! Phew! We havent posted in ages! Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda regenerative response was a big project through The Earth Village Project and most of us have been spread out to assist in affected communities. We hope to share more news soon. Heres one update that were excited about. Together with Bahay Kalipay Retreat Center in partnership with the Global Ecovillage Network and GEN-Oceania & Asia , we are inviting ecovillages and transition communities to participate in the Global Fast For The Climate movement in taking impact to a level of energy descent from consumption. The campaign was inspired by the Philippine Climate Change Commisioner Naderev Yeb Saño who fasted during UN Climate Talks in Poland during the height of Typhoon Haiyan/ Yolanda. This is an initial invitation through the GEN newsletter that just went out today. We will launch an online platform for global participation in the next months with help from Mandala Earth Story and Sattva-Reports .
