UPDATE ON MY MOM: My mother just got out of surgery and we have spoken with the surgeon. He said that they removed the spleen because it was full of cancer. They also cut out a lower portion of her colon because the cancer was eating its way into the colon. They also removed a huge mass that was on the bottom of her stomach, not the gallbladder. The surgeon is hoping that the chemo will kill the rest of the cancer. She is currently in recovery and we are waiting to go in and see her.
