URGENT DOGS AT BALTIMORE COUNTY ANIMAL SERViCES ~HIGH KILL! BUSTER IMP #436 | ARRIVED 2/19/14 LAB MIX | MALE | 6 YEARS OLD Buster is a lab, through and through. He is simply looking for a human to be loyal too. Buster is very laid back and happy. He a well mannered, mellow fellow. Buster would be a great with any type of family--children or no children, other animals or not other animals, you name it. Come take this volunteer favorite home. Our Baltimore County Animal Control and Shelter is located at 13800 Manor Rd in Baldwin, MD. Yes, IT IS OUR SHELTER because it is tax payer funded! This animal control, animal shelter and their employees have critical information you NEED and REFUSE to make it public! BCAC & staff do not take pics of incoming animals and refuse to allow the volunteers to take pics of them until they are vetted. These pics must now be approved by the shelter mgmt. before being shared. Often, these innocent, homeless animals wait for many days and perhaps a week or more to see the vet! By that time, many animals have contracted illness from the shelter environment. During this time, you are looking for a lost pet, you are expending a great deal of time, energy and money while under a huge amount of stress! Your beloved pet could be lingering in that facility, scared, injured and sick. They can’t call out for you and rely on humans to let you know where they are!! But the more the volunteers share and help, the more rope is extended from shelter mgmt., not to assist but to bind the volunteers’ hands. This effectively stonewalls any information being shared about the shelter animals (YOUR PETS) to the public (THE SHELTER OWNERS). Your beloved pet may end up euthanized without ever being photographed if it is too scared, old or sick and is not deemed suitable for adoption. You may never have closure. Please ask YOUR SHELTER, BCAC, to have compassion for lost/missing pets and their owners by photographing every animal brought in to BCAC and scanning for a micro-chip on intake and sharing the information with the public, with the understanding that time is of the essence. Other shelters photograph incoming animals.....no reason for Balto. Co. Animal Control not to do so as well.
