URGENT PLEA!! Can any Houston TX area rescues pull from the SPCA? A good Samaritan found a pittie, took him there, wants to adopt him out, but as we all know - the SPCA kills pits and wont adopt them out. We need a rescue to pull him so she can adopt him! I am praying that you can help me. I am a physical education teacher at Rees Elementary School. Today two very sweet pitbulls wandered onto our playground. The female was hurt and bleeding from her paws profusely. She had recently given birth to a litter of puppies. The male was a very sweet, goofy youngster with healing puncture wounds and scars. I had no choice to transport the animals to the SPCA off Katy Road as I didnt think they would be safe on our playground and the female needed immediate medical attention. The SPCA put them on a three day stray hold only and will be euthanized after that. I told them I wanted the male if they could medically test him as I have a 3 year old Great Dane at home. The SPCA refused and said that I couldnt come back to pick him up because it was their policy not to adopt pitbulls or bully mixes out. I feel devastated!! He is a sweet boy!! He kissed me and let me kiss and hug him. He let me rub his tummy and wanted to ride in my lap in the car. I really want to give this dog another chance at life. Is there anyway your organization can pull him for me? I have done rescue before so I understand the background check that would be required. I am more than willing to do anything to save this boy!!!
