US Government transfers to Mexico; homeland security money, military training, drug war money.... all contribute to the conflation of state and narco violence on the Mexican population..... Its no surprise Defense contractors and the military industrial complex is advocating for programs to support the Mexican Security State. The underlying issue, as always is money... Right now The United States of America is ARMING NAFTA, building up a strong security state that can protect foreign investment, which seems to be the sort of neoliberal reforms Enrique Peña Nieto is attempting to bring about.... privatizing resources for big oil to come invest. Dont think this isnt connected to whats happening in Detroit. Detroit, like Mexico, is going through NEOLIBERAL reforms, privatization, and the upwards transfer of public good to 1% hands and control. You cannot raid the beehive without protecting yourself from the gaurd bees. Detroit One, the violence reduction program, as well as increased police presence, private and public, in places like downtown and the cantons across the city. Even connecting in with the dispossession of Delray to build a faster moving freeway. Gotta protect capital.... that needs to move as freely and securely as possible. Always the goal.
