USDA made no changes in crop condition ratings in this week’s Crop Progress report. 75 percent of the corn, 72 percent of the soybeans, and 70 percent of the US spring wheat crop are rated good to excellent. Corn pollination is now 15 percent complete, slightly behind the five-year average, while 24 percent of the beans are blooming, three points ahead of average. The winter wheat harvest has advanced to 57 percent complete, three points behind the average pace. Progress in Kansas jumped from 40, to 70 percent in one week. Nearly half the US spring wheat crop is headed.
