#UTA #corruption #policemisconduct #utpol #utah #saltlake I shared and wrote about this video when it first came out. It is an outrage and in my opinion UTA does not need its own police force. It is a waste. This is the kind of thing they do all the time as well as giving teenagers and homeless people expensive tickets and barrings from the property just for not having money to get to where they need to get. UTA is HEAVILY subsidized to the tune of each ride per person being 85% publicly funded. It would make more sense to just go the rest of the way and make it free, thereby eliminating the need for the vast majority of these revenue enforcement officers. It would be a public good if people could just hop on and go where they need to go without harassment and would save resources on enforcement and bureaucracy and avoid despicable scenes such as this. Nobody needs to be dragged into court on this petty crap. UTA does society a great disservice in many ways. Check out the last two audits and search UTA corruption for more... These public private partnerships pseudo agencies need to go as they are always opportunities for corruption to flourish. Private business should never have financial motive and opportunity to be in bed with government and tweak deals to their financial advantage. Public transportation should be *public* or not at all! The nerve to claim UTA parking lots and hubs are private property when UTA receives hundreds of millions of dollars, even over a billion dollars in public money!
