UTS offers students commencing mid-year peace of mind Students - TopicsExpress

UTS offers students commencing mid-year peace of mind Students (postgraduate and undergraduate) who secure a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) and commence their studies at UTS in Spring (second) Semester 2014, will be subject to identical fee conditions as those who commenced in Autumn (first) Semester 2014 UTS has assured Commonwealth supported students commencing their studies at UTS in Spring (second) Semester 2014 that they will enjoy the same fee conditions as existing UTS students. This guarantee safeguards all Commonwealth supported undergraduate and postgraduate students commencing in 2014 against the uncapping of tuition fees in 2016 – not only those who commenced their studies before 14 May. If the Federal Budget, as it stands, passes the House of Representatives and the Senate, unfortunately future university students can expect to pay more for their education, UTS Vice-Chancellor Professor Ross Milbourne said. I want all Commonwealth supported students who enrol at UTS this year – whether in first or second semester – to be comforted by the fact that UTS will protect them from uncapped fee increases in 2016, Professor Milbourne added. CSP students who commence their studies at UTS next semester will have the same fee structure as students who commenced this semester.
