Ultrarunning friends: Ive got a dilemma on my hands- Im trying to decide whether or not to enter the Western States lottery. The thing is, I DONT want to get in this year (trying to start a family). Sine I applied and didnt get in last year, if I do it again this year and dont get in, Ill substantially build odds that Ill get in in 2016. If I dont apply, Ill have to start all over by requalifying and only having one ticket in the hat. Thats a discouraging thought. But if I apply and get in this year, Ill be in quite a pickle! What do you guys think? Am I reasonably safe applying for the second time and not getting in? What would you do here? Discuss......
