Under The Rabbit Hole - Part 9 of 10 Concepts and Conventions Parts 6 thru 8 covered experiments involving a Mach-Zehnder Interferometer (interference meter) and the surprising behavior of light. Viewers should be utterly confused at this point. However, now were finally going under the rabbit hole to see whats actually going on to see that its not quite as mysterious as it seems. This will be an elementary introduction into the mathematics of quantum mechanics where you will be pleasantly surprised to find it accessible to anyone with a good high school background. Nevertheless, this demonstration will require multiple viewings for many viewers and, in any case, this series should not be considered a substitute for the demands of an actual course on the subject. More complex experiments would require a firm grasp of calculus, trigonometry and other specialized systems. The important thing is that you understand the basis on which quantum mechanics rests, since after all it is the conventional wisdom of the 21st century. In Part 10 I will summarize this series and consider the importance of quantum theory as a way of life.
