Under Your Feet By :: Deb Wilson Many times when the trials of life seem overwhelming, it is easy to lose perspective about OUR power over Satan! God has given US the authority to trample him under our feet! Get a mental picture of that. We do not have to fear Satan, he has to fear US! Someday we will look on him, see him as he is, and ask, Is this the man who made the earth tremble? When it seems that Satan will overpower you, remember this Word ... and remember, in comparison to our Lord, who is our partner in spiritual battle, Satan is NO match! Put him where he belongs ... Under your feet! How have you fallen from heaven, O light-bringer and daystar, son of the morning! How you have been cut down to the ground, you who weakened and laid low the nations [O blasphemous, satanic king of Babylon!] And you said in your heart, I will ascend to heaven; I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will sit upon the mount of assembly in the uttermost north. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High. Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol (Hades), to the innermost recesses of the pit (the region of the dead). Those who see you will gaze at you and consider you, saying, Is this the man who made the earth tremble, who shook kingdoms?— Who made the world like a wilderness and overthrew its cities, who would not permit his prisoners to return home?
