Unfortunately, due to a lack of funding and scheduling concerns, The Second Annual Remembering Homicide Victims Community Event on July 28, 2013 will have to be canceled. The money from t-shirt sales will be held in an effort to put on an event in 2014. We understand a portion of people were really looking forward to this event and we sympathize with everyone disappointed in hearing this news as we really wanted to put this on for a second year. We enjoyed providing a stage for the families of homicide victims and vehemently feel it is imperative to allow you all to speak on how violence has effected your lives. We plan to do the things we wanted to do this year, next year and hopefully we will think of some cool, new ways to honor our loved ones and let the community know the impact violence can have. -Nick Christian -Lorraine Calkin
