Unity Schools Old Students Association (USOSA) had a Town Hall Meeting in Kings College Lagos on Saturday March 1st 2014 and this is one of the action that came out of that meeting: If you are a Parent, Parent to-be or related to one; If you attended boarding or day school; Whether it be a Unity school or not; Whether it be in the North, South, East or West; Within or Outside this Country; as long as red blood flows though your veins PLEASE join us as we proceed on a PEACEFUL non-political, non-tribal and non-religious WALK on Thursday 6TH OF MARCH, 2014. The purpose of the WALK is to mourn the GRUESOME SLAUGHTER OF CHILDREN and ABDUCTION OF YOUNG GIRLS in North-East, Nigeria. Regardless of your ethnicity, this issue is of great concern to US ALL because North, East, West or South, WE ARE ALL NIGERIANS. Its NOT enough to just be running commentaries on Social Media, or praying in our closets! Lets WALK THE TALK to mourn the WANTON KILLING AND ABDUCTION of our children up North and call on the Government to wade in seriously before we lose more of our next generations...!!! Date: Thursday, 6th March, 2014. Time: 8.30am prompt & sharp at every location Dress Code: BLACK on BLACK. Tie black ribbon on wrist. Start procession at 8:30, walk down Alhaji Masha Road, through Shitta roundabout, straight on till the footbridge before Masha roundabout, cross over on the bridge to the other side, spend 10mins in front of the Hearts of Gold Hospice, then return to Stadium.
