Unless you know God , you give up knowledge Give up knowledge and you cannot know anything. . Ok - I did a thought experiment on that Christian Presup position and I want to run it past people with degrees in philosophy and logic. My reasoning goes I give up certainty , but that isnt like giving up knowledge . I mean, am I certain that I shall get up tomorrow and go to work , and get a bill at the end of the month? Well, I could theoretically get hit by a bus or something - but I work on the assumption that the bill needs paying , so I dont blow my paycheque on beer. Well I have not yet and so far , Ive been right . I dont have certainty, but I have more than reasonable odds that I will live at least another 10- 20 yrs and plan accordingly. And that is all on Reasonable odds . Now , do Creationists know stuff on the back of knowing God ? OK, convince me - tell me my Social Security Number , my passport number , my home phone number - if you know these things . I know them - so if I am wrong - how come ? Can you hack my Facebook account ? Dont think so ? So where is your supernatural knowledge gone? Experience tells me that I know stuff that nobody else does - for sure. Experience also tells me that I can still predict and plan my future without needing certainty. Now , if Hovind and them Creos can out do us evidence based materialists on stuff ,well show us the evidence . Does what they know have utility value ? Or is it like knowing Shakespeare , LoTR , or other works of fiction by heart? Before you say its different I want to ask how and why the bible is different and how does it have utility value
