Unnecessary Dietary Protocols 101. 1- Avoiding carbs at night. 2- Avoiding high GI carbs. 3- Eating every 2-3 hours to increase your metabolism. 4- Avoiding carbs & fats in the same meal. 5- Trying to not spike insulin. 6- Drinking Casein protein shake before bed. 7- Slamming down a Whey Protein & Dextrose shake the second you finish training. 8- Avoiding salt/sodium. 9- Avoiding saturated fats. 10- Only consuming 30g of protein in each meal in fear of peeing it out or wasting it. 11- Spreading your protein out evenly in each meal. 12- Avoiding processed foods. 13- Giving up sugar. 14- Having a meat and nut breakfast. 15- Only eating carbs around training. If you are following any of the above, you following totally unnecessary dietary protocols that offer NO physiological or psychological and you making your diet harder than it needs to be/focusing on minor details that are meaningless. In the context of a whole dietary intake, there is nothing wrong with having a post workout shake or drinking a casein shake before bed to help you meet your daily nutritional needs but apart from that, the reasonings based on the typical broscience magical gainz theory is all false and unnecessary. Diet smart and flexible.
