Until a few years ago, the chance of finishing secondary school in rural parts of Rwanda was a dream few girls could fulfil. According to the World Bank, the total enrolment of girls in secondary school in Rwanda was only 37% in 2011. Through Millennium Villages, the Government of Rwanda, and Connect to Learn, all that is changing. But the real credit goes to the girls and women who themselves are changing things in their own industry, and helping other women discover and appreciate their own value.
