Until believers see this present world as the enemy of Christ they cannot and will not see the true kingdom of God. We are in this world but we have become of this world except for an hour or so on Sunday mornings…or so we think. But like an unseen infection that continues to spread without notice until it is too late, so is the infection of this world continuing to spread throughout the church. I believe it is too late for the visible church as a whole, but it is never too late for individual believers to repent and have the salve of the Spirit open their hearts to the astonishing truth. We have judged things according to what is right and what is wrong instead of what is Christ and what is not. You see what is right is many times is a Trojan Horse which is allowed into the camp and quickly takes over. The war which rages in the spirit world against Christ is very clever and employs many tactics which seem innocuous and even “righteous” when in fact they are spiritual poison to the gospel. These are perilous times and the stakes are serious and even eternal. And yet the church plays the wild ass who kicks and snorts and frolics and goes wherever it desires.
