Unveiling Jesus Christ; True Christians 1 John 2:19 declares, They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us. This Scripture makes it as an ex-Christian abundantly clear there is no such thing as an ex-Christian. If a person is truly a Christian, he/she will never depart from the faith for if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us If a person who claimed to be a Christian denies the faith, he/she was not truly a Christian. They went out from us, but they did not really belong to ustheir going showed that none of them belonged to us. No, there is truly no such thing. It is important to distinguish between a true Christian and an in name only Christian. A true Christian is a person who has fully trusted in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. A true Christian is a person who understands what the Bible says about sin, sins penalty, who Jesus is, what Jesus did for us, and how that provides for the forgiveness of sin. A true Christian is a person who has received Jesus Christ as personal Savior, has been made a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), and is progressively being transformed into the image of Christ. A true Christian is a person who is kept a Christian by the power of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:13, 30 2 Corinthians 1:22). This true Christian can never become an ex-Christian. No one who has truly and fully trusted in Christ as Savior could ever deny Him. No one who truly comprehends the evil of sin, the terror of sins consequences, the love of Christ, and the grace and mercy of God, could ever turn back from the Christian faith. There are many in this world who claim to be Christians, but are not. Being a Christian does not mean recognizing that Jesus was a great teacher or even seeking to follow His teachings. Being a Christian means being a representative of Christ and a follower / servant of Christ. There are people who have had some connection to a Christian church and then later renounced that connection. There are people who have tasted and sampled Jesus Christ, without ever actually receiving Him as Savior. However, there is no such thing as true ex-Christian. A true Christian will never, and could never, renounce the faith. Any person who claimed to be a Christian, but later rejects the Christian faith, was never truly a Christian. My challenge to you today is to pray and ask Jesus Christ that He may make Himself real to you. Jesus Is Coming. Are You ready? Is your family ready? Are you adequately protecting your loved ones? This is the reason for this ministry, to enable you to first understand the peril facing you, and then help you develop strategies to warn and protect your loved ones. Once you have been thoroughly trained, you can also use your knowledge as a means to open the door of discussion with an unsaved person so as to bring them to Jesus Christ. These perilous times are also a time when we can reach many souls for Jesus Christ, making an eternal difference. If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, but have been very lukewarm in your spiritual walk with Him, you need to immediately ask Him for forgiveness and for renewal. If you are sincere, He will instantly forgive you, and fill your heart with the joy of the Holy Spirit. Then, you need to begin a daily walk of prayer, personal Bible Study and instruction from Him through The Holy Spirit. If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as Savior, but have come to realize His reality and the approaching End of the Age, and want to accept His FREE Gift of Eternal Life, you can also do so now by saying this prayer with all sincerity. Dear God in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness. I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin. You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved. Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved. Thank you Jesus for your unlimited grace which has saved me from my sins. I thank you Jesus that your grace never leads to license, but rather it always leads to repentance. Therefore Lord Jesus transform my life so that I may bring glory and honor to you alone and not to myself. Thank you Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life. Amen. Once you accept Him as Savior, you are spiritually Born Again, and become a beneficiary of eternal life. Jesus will then over time(depending on your spiritual hunger for Him) take you through the Baptism of Water- immersion, Baptism of The Holy Spirit to empower you and Baptism of Fire to purify you and equip you as a vessel of honor at His service. 2 Timothy 2:21. You will through the Holy Spirit be assured of Heaven as if you were already there. Welcome to Kingdom of God SELF TEST TO KNOW IF YOU ARE TRULY BORN AGAIN; Following are ten evidences the true believer in Jesus Christ possesses, all from the epistle of First John. These are what Jonathan Edwards called holy affections. I. SUBMISSIVE RESPECT If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us (1 John 1:8) Do you respect God? Is your opinion just as important or even more relevant than His? Are Gods pronouncements authoritative in your life? Is Jesus Christ your Lord? II. SCRIPTURE OBEDIENCE But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him (1 John 2:5) Do you read the Bible daily? Do you read the Scriptures seeking to obey what you find? Are you in rebellion against Gods Word or in submission to it? Do you love the Bible? III. SOCIETAL REJECTION Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him (1 John 2:15) Do you love the world, your money, and your possessions? Do they mean more to you than Jesus Christ and His approval? Would you be willing to give up all for Christ? Have you experienced persecution because of your faith in Christ? (Family & former friends who back away because of your testimony for Christ, are a subtle form of persecution). IV. STEADFAST FAITHFULNESS They went out from us, but they were not of us: for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us (1 John 2:19) Are you faithful in regular fellowship with Gods people? Do you long for fellowship with the saints? Are you faithful to Gods word? Are you faithful and steadfast in that which he has committed to your trust (spiritual gifts, resources, reading his word, etc.)? Are you steadfast year in and year out? V. SECOND COMING ANTICIPATION When he shall appear, we shall be like him: for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure (1 John 3:2-3) Are you living in the daily awareness that Jesus Christ will return for His own? Are you eagerly looking forward to His coming for you? Does your daily life reflect the fact that He may come today? Are you ready to meet Him at any time? VI. SIN SENSITIVITY Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God (1 John 3:9) Does your sin bother you? Do you wish you sinned less than you do? Are you sinning less now than when you first made a profession of faith in Christ? Do you enjoy your sin, or does it affect your happiness? Do you realize God sees all sin? Do you sin less now than you did prior to receiving Christ? VII. SIBLING LOVE We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death (1 John 3:14) Do you love other believers in Jesus Christ? Do you enjoy being in their company, or would you rather be with the people of the world? Are Christians your dearest friends? VIII. SUPPLICATIONS ANSWERED And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight (1 John 3:22) Do you pray? Can you point to specific answers that could have come from no one but God? Do you find yourself spending most of your time conversing intimately with God as a trusted friend? IX. SHARP DISCERNMENT Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world (1 John 4:1) Do you find it easy to sort out the claims of various religions? Do you see all religions as the same? Do you understand the doctrine of Christ? Do you believe Jesus Christ is God? X. SPIRIT AWARENESS Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit (1 John 4:13) Do you have a conscious awareness that the Holy Spirit of God lives in you? Does He teach you things from the Scriptures on a regular basis? Does the Holy Spirit convict you when you sin, or can you sin with abandon? Have other people seen the fruit of the Spirit at work in your life? That is, can they see genuine love, joy, peace, kindness goodness, patience, faithfulness goodness and self control., (Gal.5:22), being wrought in and through you by Gods Holy Spirit? Do they sense that you are a different person from the one you used to be?
