Up and down day for seemingly everyone today at Whilton Mill for Round 5 of the EKL Championships. Kyle followed his debut win at Rowrah by driving away into the distance to win his second Sprint race in 2 meetings. Plenty of other great performances littered with some horror shows! The new guys adapted to the series really quickly and acquitted themselves really well. No joy in our pursuit of cash for charity in the race of champions before the 2hr endurance. The Giant Hornets dragged a kart none of them seemed to enjoy driving to 17th, 2 places in front of the Buzzin Hornets who simply couldnt cram enough lead on the posts to get Joel on the weight limit, 1kg underweight costing them 3 laps and demoting them from 8th to 19th. However Alex and Josh threw in great stints leaving Carl the simple task of bringing the kart home in a fantastic 3rd, our first glassware of the year! That proved good enough for 6th overall, propelling us ever closer to the top 5 in the overall standings!
