Up until 1976,solomon Mahlangu was a student,living in the apartheid regime in sa.on june 16 school children of soweto protesting the introduction of afrikaans as the midium of intruction in their schools,took to the streets in a massive,peaceful demonstration.Police reaction to the demonstration was brutal as they shot at unarmed students.atleast 25 people were killed.twelve year old Hector peterson was the first to fall..thousands left 4 exile Solomon kalushi mahlangu 19 years was 1 of them he left his home in the nite witout teling his mother were he was going or if he would ever return.1year later he came back as n MK.he never made it to the protest him and his team Monty motlaung and George luckyMahlangu were accosted by police and 2 civilian police were killed...Solomon and monty were captured.Monty was so brutally beaten n he suffered head injurys brain damage.Solomon dd nt fire a short bt he faced murder charges alone...he was found guilty of murder 1979.on april 6 he faced the gallows,raised his hand in the ANC salute an met his death at the hands of a racist regime...his final words were My blood will nourish the tree that will bear the fruits of freedom.Tell my people that I love them.they must contineue to fight Allutta continue Maqabane
