Update - Had lab work this morning and saw Dr. May, oncologist. She reports white count is good (praise), hemoglobin is acceptable (praise), and platelets are normal (praise). She examined wound and reports it looks good - finish course of antibiotics and continue topical antibiotic! Report tomorrow am for chemo #2. (Praise God) I reported to Wound Care this afternoon. The wonderful staff there took great care of me, and the wonderful lymph edema therapist did an assessment and evaluated my incision and left arm. Bottom line - she ordered me a compression sleeve to wear on my left arm to assist my lymphatic system with its job. We are being proactive and addressing the edema early. (Praise) Oncology called me at 3:30 pm to say I need to drink more water as kidney test number is up. (I have done that this afternoon.) Thank you all so much for praying for me. Specific requests - chemo will once again not cause nausea and vomiting - the arm and surgical site swelling will go away - lab studies remain OK.
