Update concerning Pastor River, in Central Asia: The secret police had been summoning him for questioning quite frequently to demand information. They wrote down all the contacts from his cell phone, along with all of his contact info, passport, etc. Worse, the polices new campaign is getting the village to inform about everyone elses activities. This has created a lack of trust of everyone. Because of the new spies, River is unable to hold a normal church service. Now believers have been forced to have short meetings with 2-3 on the street for 10 minutes and then go on their way. The mens Bible institute is still meeting since it is in a different village. While they were here we were able to help Hope get some much needed medical help. She had been suffering with a condition that required surgery. She had the surgery and now for the first time in 10 years she can function pain-free. We praise the Lord for those who helped in providing funds for her surgery.
