Update for Cindy Cox Gibson for Sunday, January 19th - I continue - TopicsExpress

Update for Cindy Cox Gibson for Sunday, January 19th - I continue to be amazed at the blessings we are receiving. Her condition remains stable while the doctors wait for her to regain strength enough for the next set of procedures. A CAT scan perfomed this morning showed no negative indications. The nurses, doctors, and staff are tremendous in their abilities and so supportive of my precious wife. Earlier this week, I asked my pastor, Rev. Taylor, to ask our church, Bethsda UMC, not only to pray for Cindy, but to ask them to avail themselves of our continuing health ministry by having their blood pressure checked. He informed me this afternoon that the response was great and people lined up to do so after both services this morning. Undiagnosed high blood pressure was the cause of Cindys stroke last week. You have been so supportive with your prayers and I am still asking you to pray for her. But I would also ask that if you have not had your blood pressure checked in the past 30 days, to please do so. It is quick and simple and just about every pharmacy I know of (CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Walmart) has a free self check station for blood pressure. My favorites are the new higi stations at the Publix pharmacies which check blood pressure, heart rate, weight and body mass index and then emails results to your inbox. On a final note, I am happy to report the the family I spoke about yesterday received a tremendous blessing, if not truly a miracle! After four weeks in ICU, their loved one awakened from unconsciousness this morning, is fully aware and talking to his family who are now crying tears of joy. Seeing their prayers answered assures me that God is listening to ours. May God Bless us all, Pat
