Update ...my Mother is continuing the slow recovery process from her open heart surgery last Friday. Much therapy to follow as she learns to care for herself while wearing a sternum brace with very limited range of motion & a 5 lb weight lift limit. Daily care skills that we take for granted such as standing independently & dressing have to be relearned. She has settled into her new room at Good Sam in the Transitional Care Unit. Last night I took her street clothes & found her watching Green Bay football while fielding many cell phone calls. Visitors & calls are encouraged. PM me for specific info. Beginnning Mon. much of her day will involve OT & PT. Hopefullly her appetite returns soon so she can regain her strenght & return to her active lifestyle. Her cat, Simba is really gettting lonely. Thanks for your continued prayers.
