Update on Dad (Oct 16): Today was day 1 after his chemo treatment. He is feeling weak and tired, but he has no nausea and has eaten well today. Mom has a clipboard with a schedule of when she has to give him certain pills for this, and other pills for that. Shes doing really well keeping things in order. It has been 6 days without anything leaking through the incision, so the Extra-Mural RN removed the ostomy bag today! Hoping and praying that is the last we see of that!! She said there are no signs of infection. She covered the open incision with a wide breathable bandage and said she is going to bring a magical ointment the next time she comes and it will help heal things up quickly. They have nothing scheduled in town for the next few days so the plan is to just eat and sleep and sit with their feet up as often as they can! Thanks again for your continued prayers ... Night
