Update on Dylan FT: This morning he was off of sedative for 3 hours and practiced breathing through the vent tube and exercised his limbs. They decided he had too much fluid around his lungs (in the pleural cavity) to take him off the vent today. They have put him back under sedation, and they are going to drain that fluid off. They will let him sleep all day and night, and will try again in the morning to extubate him (that means to take him off the ventilator.) Thanks for all the prayers and well-wishes! Every day Dylan is better, and I am so grateful for all the support.
