Update on Emergency Situation in Fort Frances. The Town of Fort Frances would like to thank all residents that came out and volunteered their time to assist us in ensuring that we protect out critical infrastructure and properties. A lot of work has been completed, but we still have a lot more to do to complete our protection of our assets in that area. We are still asking any and all residents to please come out and assist us again today in ensuring that our town is protected. Volunteers are still being asked to report to the Fire Department Command Trailer and sign in with Fire Department Personnel or by contacting 274-1818 and leaving a message with their names, addresses, phone numbers and availability. Anyone boating on the Rainy Lake please continue to take precautions to avoid debris that is floating in the water. There has been a significant amount of debris observed in the lake and we want to ensure the safety of all water users. The Government Dock is still a potential hazard. Residents can continue to call the Emergency Information Line at 274-1818 with any questions or concerns in regards to this emergency.
