Update on Reading, Im on Chapter 11 of Oryx and Crake... holy crikey this is a disturbing book... This is very doom and gloom and worst of humanity bundled in engine grease and rotten bannanas... So far, not really enjoying this one, its not only that humanity is pigeon holed as monsters and good riddence theyre gone, but our heros are active part of this norm Im spending as much time hoping our main character gets eaten by some mutant animal as we relive his disturbing shallow, manipulative, sadistic childhood... You never know how things can turn around in a story, and this IS a trilogy but so far I have no idea how... If I end up enjoying this book, itd be a miracle to say the least I had to suffer through to get to any redeeming qualities. Hows that for an indorsement? :P
