Update on Virgil...he is having throat surgery on Tuesday to remove a cyst that developed there from Silent reflux that we just found out he has. Nothing to mess with if you have a sore throat or clearing your throat often get it checked it can develop into more problems. He may need to spend the night at the hospital. They will also test him to see if he would benefit from another test to stop the acid from from coming up to his throat. His diet has to be very different now. No tomatoes, garlic, onions, peppers, citrus...lowfat dairy, limit beef and pork! Add that to my diet for diabetes and high cholesterol!!!!!!!!!!! UGH lets just say eating is no longer enjoyable!!!! He is also having surgery the following Tuesday December 23rd and has to stay one night maybe two! SO Christmas will look very different this year! He is having his ankle fused and big toe and the screw out of his pelvis. Doing so we are hoping that will alleviate a lot of the pain and get back to normal as best he can. He will be in a cast for 6 weeks and then back in his shoe/boot for another 3 months. They said he cannot weight bear on it for 6 weeks at all and anticipate the surgery will be quite painful that is why he needs to stay over in the hospital to manage pain. We will know more after the first night. He is actually looking forward to the surgery in many ways. We have had a challenging year but a very good year in many ways. We saw God faithful to us in the hands and feet of Christ through so many of you...our family and friends who loved and supported us financially, prayerfully, emotionally. SO many ways we saw blessing after blessings. No words could every express our deep love and appreciation to everyone. We are truly blessed to have you in our lives!!!
