Update on #hunterbear The tumor was a meningioma. These tumors usually are benign; however a small percentage are malignant. Both are extremely rare in children. Only 9 reported cases have been documented in children worldwide. When found in children they can come back rapidly so he will need MRI’s over a period of months for a year, and yearly after that for a period of time, I believe. The only treatment is surgery should it return. They will most likely get to come home tomorrow. His parents are asking everyone to please call before visiting when they get home because Hunter shouldnt be exposed to any colds, viruses, etc. for the first couple of weeks. Everyone please continue to prayer for him and his parents in the upcoming months that scans will come back clear every time.
