Update re: Visit by His Eminence Hujjah Sayed Jawad Al Shahristani (special envoy to His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sayed Ali Sistani) His Eminence Sayed Jawad Shahristani (the Special Envoy to His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sayed Ali Al Sistani) has arrived alhamdolilah to Perth on Tuesday the 13th of May 2014, where he was greeted by Ayatollah Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Al Ansari and the Shia community there. He is scheduled to arrive in Sydney Thursday 15th of May afternoon. The following opportunities are available to see His Eminence Sayed Jawad Shahristani: * Thursday 15th of May 2014: Meeting with the Sheikhs and Mosques/Centres - immediately after his arrival in Sydney approximately 2:30pm he will be attending a lunch function with Sheikhs and individuals representing Shia Mosques, Centres, Associations and Organisations. This is by invite only given the restricted capacity of the venue. * Friday 16th of May 2014: Meeting publically with the Shia community - from 5:30pm His Eminence will attend a public event at Masjid Al Rasool Al A’tham (1 Vimy Street Bankstown) that is available to everyone. * Saturday 17th of May 2014: Meeting privately with the Shia community – - From 9:00am to 12:00pm AND 3:00pm to 4:30pm His Eminence will be available to meet everyone in the Shia community privately (young/old, from all backgrounds/languages). - This is on a first in, first served basis and no appointments will be required. - Sessions will be in private. - This is a golden opportunity for everyone in the Shia community to meet with His Eminence and discuss their concerns, ideas, suggestions with no restrictions of topic. - Given the demand for His Eminence’s time during these two blocks, meeting time will be managed equitably so that as many people see His Eminence as possible during this period. - His Eminence will be staying at the office/residence of Sheikh Al Al-Ansari where the private sessions will be held at 10 Corbett Street Bankstown. * Saturday 17th of May 2014: Meeting publically with the Shia community - from 5:30pm His Eminence will attend a public event at Masjid Al Zahra (1 Wollongong Road, Arncliffe) that is available to everyone.
