Update today from Kathy Gipp: Sams right arm is no longer in pain. We are very thankful for that. It has been 9 days since surgery and all is well in that area. He still has lots of issues and as he said today his neck can never be totally fixed. It will always be an issue. From here he is looking into a possible nerve block for the headaches. In the past he would not have considered that but when you spend hours rolled up in a ball to deal with the pain it changes your thinking. The Drs. in Florida could not address that issue and they said that may be the only help and that is no guarantee. The left arm is almost constantly in pain now where before it was intermittant. So probably next Oct. we will go again to Florida and have the same proceedure on the left. After that he still has 5 bulging discs in his neck. At some point they will be even more of an issue than now and will have to be addressed. We cant do everything at once so this will be ongoing. Of course, they always say there is no guarantee that it will last but he has to do something or go crawl in a cave and stay there. As of now we head to Denver next week and start a meeting. Then we drive back to Las Vegas, get our RV and finish the year in California and the rest of our meetings. Next year we start our treck back towards the East for 2 years of meetings. He is booked for many years and if God allows we want to keep on til the Lord comes back or He tells us different. Everyone keeps asking when we will come off the road. That is totally up to God. We have no plans for that. At some point I am sure he will have to slow down but that will be something the Lord has to tell him too. Thanks for all your prayers. I KNOW he wouldnt make it without them.
